I’m Oyin Akinsanmi, leading the Make It Happen Movement. I help women and professionals move from stuck to unstoppable by showing them how to take action, start afresh, and rediscover what’s possible.
Understand what drives me
For years, I was navigating life like many of you—with big dreams, but also with uncertainty and a feeling of being stuck. Then, I hit a moment that forced the ultimate choice.
I found myself alone with my one-year-old child. The lease on our home had only three months left, I had a baby’s car seat, and no car. No funds, and the future was a blank, terrifying wall.
In that moment of total defeat, I realized I had only two paths:
1. I could beg for crumbs: Fall into self-pity and rely on others to survive.
2. I could gather and rebuild: Scrape together what was left of my strength and commit to fighting my way back.
I chose the second road. That decision—to stop waiting for a miracle and start building one with the little I had left—is what the Make It Happen movement is all about.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, uncertain, or that your dream is bigger than your current reality, you’ve been where I was. I built this book and this community to show you exactly how to choose the second option and Make It Happen—no matter what you’ve lost.
